Brasilllllll !!!

Heyyo everybody, sorry it's been a minute! I am happy and healthy in Brazil now! It's been a crazy few weeks getting here and adjusting to the culture and language

(and the fact that it's winter haha), but I still absolutely love being a missionary!!!! Representing Christ and sharing His gospel is literally the best!!!!!!

This week we had so many little miracles and i KNOW that God is aware of me, and of each one of you too!! After a lesson with some little kids we were walking home, and I decided I was going to have a conversation with this cute girl who was walking by! I tried to start talking and she couldn't understand me, but after repeating myself twice. she was like OHHH and we started a conversation!! She was super sweet and repeated lots of things for me, and at the end of our conversation she asked for our number so we could talk again!! We invited her to church but she was busy this week, but promised to come next week! We're going to meet up this week and I'm so pumped!!! I know that God always blesses us for our efforts, and I'm so grateful to have a new friend here in Brazil!! :))

Speaking of teaching little kiddos, I've been thinking a lot this week about how Christ asks us to become as little children. Anyone who knows me knows I love little kids, they're adorable and love everyone and find joy in the tiniest things and don't get stressed out about the future!! They are so PRESENT in the moment and live life JOYFULLY!! I decided that I want to have that childlike wonder and curiosity and excitement about life, because life's so much better focusing on those things rather than on the things we can't control!!

Life is so good, God is so good, the gospel is so good!!!! I hope you all have a wonderful week and see God's hand in the little tender mercies like pretty sunset views and little cards and tight hugs and warm sunshine and clean water!! I love you, but God loves you even more!!

Lord's Timing is Perfect

Hello hello everybody, sorry it's been a minute! There have been so many miracles and good times here in St Louis! I absolutely love the people here, and I'm a little sad because last week I got told I am actually leaving for Brazil on July 1st!! I am super excited to go love the people learn and continue learning how to be a better dis

ciple of Christ and missionary, but St Louis will always have a piece of my heart now <3

One of the best parts of this last week was having our friend Denise come to church!! She loves the Book of Mormon and has really wanted to come to church, but last week it was too hot to take the bus, and she was scared she wouldn't be able to figure out the bus routes this week SOOO we went with her!! We parked at her house and then rode the bus all the way to the church building and it was one of my favorite Sundays on my mission because she was so excited to come to church!! And then when we got to the church two of the newest members of the congregation were waiting outside 30 minutes early!!! Church is really the place we can feel God's Spirit strongest every week and partake of the sacrament, to remember what Christ has done for each one of us!!! I love it!!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful week and see the little tender mercies in life like sunsets from high rise buildings and farmers markets and fresh cookies and sweet older couples :)) I love you but God loves you even more!!

Faith in JESUS CHRIST

Been a crazy week, but I KNOW that Jesus Christ knows exactly how we feel and He wants to help us always!!!! Turn to him in the scriptures and to your heavenly Father in prayer and he'll answer :)

Church is the BEST!!!

Hello hello everybody, hope yall are living life cause i sure am here in st louis!!! This week was a wild one, but honestly such a good one!!! We had the opportunity to spend the day with another set of sisters twice, and what a blast to switch up the work! I was able to be with the sister i trained back in the fall, sister abbott, and it made my proud mama heart want to explode hearing her testify and teach so powerfully!! She truly has grown so much, and i hope i have too! spent another day in the city with another sister, sister bevins, and got to teach some little kids about how powerful prayer can be through the story of alma the younger in the book of mormon!! Super cool to get to teach with another companion and she taught me lots about how to be engaging with cute little kiddos!

Other highlight from this week was church!! not only was it a great service, but we had two older women we just started teaching come, and one even brought two of her grandkids!!! They went to the primary kids class and had a good time, so tender :))reminded me of my little nephew ikaika and new nephew kekeo! These two woman, rosalyn and linda, were so excited to be at church and both expressed how they felt the holy spirit and want to come back!! After a week of hard work trying to invite people to come to church to feel that spirit and realize how the gospel of jesus christ can help them personally, It was amazing to see these two woman come and recognize that for themselves L))being a missionary is the best!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful week and saw god's hand in your life through the little tender mercies like warm rain and poke bowls and old statues and personal prayer!!! I love you, but your heavenly father loves you even more and wants to hear from you!! don't be afraid to talk to him, really talk to him even if that means you tell him what you're stressed about and why (even if it's silly), I PROMISE he will listen and answer your prayers. have a great week!!

Miracles on miracles!!

Hello everybody!!! Hope y'all are having a dandy week it's been a crazy one here, crazy last few ones but hey what would be the fun if it wasn't crazy lol. Some big highlights

-my last companion Sister Chambers finished her mission and went back to Utah this week, so we spent a little bit of time this week saying goodbye to some of our favorite people, including the office staff and our mission president and his wife! We even got to share a short message with his family before she left and the Spirit in their home was so strong. Super neat!!

-CARRIE'S BAPTISM AND CONFIRMATION!!! I honestly don't remember when the last time I wrote an email was and if I've talked at all about Carrie but that woman is one of my favorite human beings on the planet!! She's a spunky older black lady who is so so willing to let God prevail in her life!! Even though we had a few scares this week (her almost not coming to church to help some friends out, a possible health scare, and getting locked out of the church building), she was able to be baptized on Saturday and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost in church on Sunday. The Spirit was SO STRONG in both of those meetings, words can't adequately describe it but I once again received a witness of how much God loves each one of His children (that includes you, the one reading this right now ;)) and how happy He is when we CHOOSE to follow HIm!!!! He will never force us to follow Him, but when we do blessings rain down from heaven!!! So grateful to get to witness that first-hand in Carries' life!!!

-went to a meeting where we talked about doing SOMETHING for SOMETING rather than something for nothing. There are times when each of us does something for nothing, whether that's mindlessly scrolling through social media or reading words on a page of a book rather than actually paying attention to the plot and themes. It can be easy to do something, to accomplish tasks, but it takes effort to do "something for something"!! I would encourage each of you to think of a way you could be more intentional this week, whether that's physically, mentally, spiritually, or intellectually and then DO IT! You don't have to be perfect at it, but taking the first step is the perfect way to start!!

hope yall have a great week and see the tender mercies of the Lord like fresh rainstorms and car jacks and vaccines and gifts from friends! Also go tell your mom/any other motherly figures in your life happy mother's day next sunday :) I love you, but God loves you even more!!

General conf + inspiration!!

God is so good!!! Speedy quick today, last weekend we got to hear the prophet of the world share what Christ would have us know and I personal felt some questions answered and saw themes about loving and being kind and focusing on the miraculous sacrifice and Atonement of our Brother Jesus Christ!!!!!!! How incredible!!!!! If you want to learn more, check out comeuntochrist.org !!!!!

Other highlights: got ice cream from an ice cream truck!! Its been 80 degrees and got to watch 4 hours of conference in the sun!!!! Saw our neighbor and even though she had COVID she was super happy and reminded me happiness and joy come from what you focus on not your surroundings!!!! Dropprd off Easter baskets and challenged families to regift them to THEIR friend that night (love spontaneous service!)!!! And so many other great things!!!
Hope yall have a great week and see the tender mercies like slow gradual self improvement and funny pictures and clean sheets and dishwasher soap! I KNOW Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and YOURS and He LOVES you and wants to help you, all you need to do is turn to him!!! And if you don't know how, start with a simple prayer :) I love you but God loves you even more!!!!

The hood 😎

Hey hey everybody, excited to say I've finally made it to the actual city part of St Louis and am currently serving in the inner city!!! Sad to leave the amazing people from Frontenac, but excited for this new adventure!!

Lesson from this week: the Lord's timing is always better than my own. Still currently learning this one, and probably will for my whole life, but if you're having a hard time with understanding ANYTHING that's happening in your life, try asking the source of all knowledge!!! Not only is God all knowing, he is your DAD and WANTS to HELP and TALK to you!!!! All you need to do is reach out!!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic week and are the tender mercies like bubble tea (I have a slight addiction now haha) and massive rainstorms and guitar chords and mail keys and the sun and The Son (Jesus Christ!!!!)!!!

Remember Christ this Easter week and if you haven't already, look at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints Facebook page and watch the video by President Nelson and the #startingtoday videos!!!!! You can change your life starting TODAY!!!! Feel free to let me know any goals or plans you have, I'd love to encourage and keep y'all accountable :) I'm working on thanking my Heavenly father during nightly prayers and writing in my journal!!! Love you all but God loves you more!!! Go talk to Him!!!
